Launch projectSupporting young changemakers through creativity and opportunity

Why Artswork
“During a long period of intense cuts to arts and culture, education, and community resources for young people, charities like Artswork are needed more than ever to help young people navigate their futures and find positive opportunities.”
Michelle Pavey
“We empower young people to lead change through creativity – for themselves, their communities and the world.”
Research and discovery
Strategic calls with the senior leadership team gave us a clear picture of where Artswork wanted to go. An online survey of stakeholders and users showed that the website wasn’t engaging and didn’t represent young people. The website was described as confusing, hard to navigate and not reflective of what the organisation does today. Training pages were unclear, programmes were hard to find, and the imagery looked aimed at primary-age children rather than the 11–35 age group Artswork actually serves.
Digital rebrand
The logo was updated and the visual identity sharpened: bolder colours, more energetic visuals, and a look that reflected the creativity and ambition of the young people Artswork exists to support. Key messaging was refined to be clear, direct and emotionally resonant, with core phrases and supporting detail that spoke to young people and supporters alike.

Website design and development
A mobile-first, easy-to-navigate website was built around clear user journeys for each of Artswork’s key audiences. The structure was reorganised so programmes, training and case studies were easy to find, with calls to action that made it straightforward to get involved. The site was built to be flexible, allowing the Artswork team to update content regularly and grow the platform as the organisation grows.

Eventbrite integration
Course and training data was pulled directly from Eventbrite into the CMS, allowing users to browse, sign up for and pay for courses without leaving the Artswork website. The integration also gave Artswork additional reach through Eventbrite’s own search and listings, putting their training programme in front of people actively looking for opportunities in the sector.
“The website Kind have created encapsulates what we’re all about – creativity. This new look speaks to our younger audience and helps us tell our story and mission to all our stakeholders.”
